5 ways Tarot & Coaching support your wellbeing
Find your purpose
You might know that coaching is defined by the creation and actioning of goals but when I coach I don’t necessarily like to think that goals are the only option it's not my coaching style. I want more for you than short term goals. I believe If you're constantly pursuing small goals to catch up to grander goals you aren't really looking all the time at the bigger picture. Many people come to coaching with material goals and that’s fine but if that’s all you work towards it really doesn't serve your full potential.
When I coach I want you to be thinking about purpose and meaning first, what’s your true Soul Story because that’s where you will find the greatest joy. Tarot is brilliant at cutting through all the noise and showing you where you need to go to find your purpose. I want you to acknowledge that of course there are things in this world that you desire that you want to have but discovering your Soul Story is not a superficial goal that you might actually get bored with halfway, if you're looking forget rich quick coaching this is not it.
However, if you’re stuck, if you feel lost and you really don't want to make any more wrong turns, working with Tarot and the coaching process can truly help you find a bigger picture purpose.
Explore new ideas.
So if the heart of coaching is to align you with what really matters, what you really truly want out of your life a Tarot reading at the start of every session works as a jumping-off point to talk about the kind of changes you would like in your life. It sparks ideas, conversations and generates energy into areas that you might not have shone a light on in years.
A conversation over Tarot cards can throw up ideas and possibilities you might never have thought of before or maybe you’ve never been brave enough to fully acknowledge simply put tarot and coaching together create options and encourages you to look at the big grand picture to embrace that big dream you have in your heart.
Help you navigate relationships
Tarot isn’t only for working out what you want from life it’s very good at working out how to deal with the who in your life as well, people, relationships, work connections and how to make changes there. The court cards in tarot can help you see where relationship problems are tripping you up and we are and how you can learn to communicate better, put in boundaries or lean into relationships that serve you and have a positive influence on your life.
Many of the different cards will resonate with the energy of people in your world, it might surprise your which cards remind you of people and relationships but that’s the beauty of tarot the unexpected and the energy combining to help you navigate people and relationships.
Helps create direction
Tarot is great for helping you plan your next move, especially if you run a business or work with others. You might not realise that the tarot has a very distinct structure that reflects everyday life, places and situations the tarot is practical as well as spiritual. Within this structure are cards that can highlight stability and instability or show where potential weaknesses are, where problems could stem from. They can show you which areas to build on and where you may need to scale back. Sometimes even completely change the direction of your planning!
This makes it great for business or testing new ideas or looking for areas of stress within a business that you might not have considered before. And depending on the cards that surround these particular structural cards can give you ideas that’ll help you find solutions. Using tarot as a tool to plan alongside coaching can create direction and strengthen you're planning which of course brings you more of what you want and aligns you with your Soul Story.
Greater connection and insight
Tarot coaching allows you to drill down into obstacles and blocks by going back and pulling secondary cards if you need them. Drawing one or two extra cards around specific blocks can help you to move through them. Doing this can really light a fire under the coaching process suddenly things can click into place or perhaps something will reveal itself that you weren't aware of before. Secondary cards let you join up situations that weren’t working previously and understand why that was. Connection and insight mean a single card can be as insightful as a whole spread.
